Maintenance-free sliding bearing bushings: GLYCODUR®

As standard products, GLYCODUR® sliding bearings are available in two versions, GLYCO® 92 and GLYCO® 94 sliding bearings. The two versions have different sliding layers and correspond to types P1 and P2 in accordance with ISO 3547. Further GLYCODUR® materials are available for your specific project.

GLYCO® 92 / GLYCODUR F Summary

GLYCO® 92 sliding bearings have a steel backing onto which a 0.2 to 0.4 mm thick porous layer of tin bronze is sintered. This layer's pores are filled with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) blended with additives that reduce friction and wear in a rolling process.

A 5 to 30 μm thick covering layer consisting of the same material forms the running-in layer. In the GLYCO® 92 sliding bearings, the great mechanical properties of the sintered bronze are optimally combined with the great sliding and lubricating properties of a PTFE mixture. The material structure ensures great dimensional stability and thermal conductivity.

GLYCO® 94 / GLYCODUR A Summary

GLYCO® 94 sliding bearings have a steel backing and a 0.2 to 0.4 mm thick, sintered-on layer of tin bronze. The main feature of these bearings is the polyoxymethylene (POM) covering layer firmly anchored in the sintered bronze; it is 0.3 mm thick and has lubrication pockets for accommodating lubricating grease. To a certain extent, GLYCO® 94 sliding bearings are therefore insensitive to misalignment and the related edge loads.
